JobViability (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a career viability platform. We help professionals understand how artificial intelligence may affect their roles and provide personalised recommendations to future-proof their careers.

2. What Data We Collect
CV Content
When you use our free scan, you upload a CV file (PDF or Word) or paste CV text. We do not store the raw text of your CV. Only the structured analysis results (career score, role, dimensions, recommendations) are saved.
Email Address
If you choose to enter your email address to receive career tips or your results, we store that email address along with a reference to your scan. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
Payment Information
If you purchase the premium report, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not handle or store your card details. Stripe provides us with a payment confirmation and a customer reference only.
Usage Data & Cookies
With your consent, we collect anonymous usage statistics. This data is anonymised and cannot be used to identify you individually. We ask for your consent before loading any analytics cookies.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Career analysis: CV text is processed in real time to generate your score and recommendations. It is not retained after analysis.
- Email communications: If you subscribe, we send you career insights and, optionally, your premium report. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Payment processing: To fulfil premium report purchases and issue refunds if applicable.
- Product improvement: Anonymised analytics help us understand how the platform is used and where to improve.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
- CV text: Not stored. Processed transiently and discarded.
- Scan results: Stored in our database so you can share and revisit your results. You can request deletion at any time.
- Email addresses: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Payment records: Retained as required by accounting law.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Unsubscribe: Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly.

7. Cookies
We use a single preference cookie (jv_consent) to remember your cookie consent choice. This cookie does not track you and expires after 365 days.
If you accept analytics cookies, we set additional cookies to anonymously measure site usage. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking “Decline” in the cookie banner (clear your browser cookies first to trigger it again).
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure database access controls, and environment-variable management of secrets. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.
9. International Transfers
Some of our third-party providers process data in the United States. These transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
10. Children
JobViability is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
