Common PM Bullet Mistakes

'Launched X feature' — shipping without outcome

Every launch bullet needs what happened next: metric, user behaviour change, or commercial impact. If you don't have a post-launch metric, use 'contributing to [broader outcome]'

'Contributed to' on every bullet — no clear individual ownership

Use 'Owned', 'Led', or 'Defined' where accurate. 'Contributed to' is fine once — but if it appears on every bullet, it signals you can't claim any outcome as your own

No user or product scale given — 'improved the product for our users'

Name the user count, the product surface, or the company stage. 'Improved activation for 400,000 monthly active users' is immediately more credible than 'improved activation for our users'

Process bullets with no output: 'Ran weekly sprint reviews and backlog grooming'
